Good turn out for the latest Special Presentation at NDPS by Kevin Sawford
With such a large turn-out expected for the latest Special Presntation we moved upstairs to the larger hall at the Methodist Hall. A warm welcome to Ele, Margrit and Dimitris who were atttending their first meeting of the Society after becoming our latest new members. We also welcomed a number of guests who had purchased tickets from our ticket agents Eventbrite for this talk. Thank you for coming and we hope to see you all again in the near future.
Tuesday’s wildlife presentation from Kevin Sawford was a evening of information overload. With a huge number of great images and lots of details about animal behaviour and the fieldcraft required to capture good images of all sorts of wild creatures. We were shown images taken literally on Kevin’s doorstep and in his garden to images from his local area and further afield throughout the UK and overseas.
Kevin Sawford is a multi-award winning professional wildlife photographer based in the village of Woolpit in the heart of Suffolk. He runs the Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s varied range of photography workshops and Kevin is represented by several picture agencies including the RSPB.
The currenty NDPS are considering the possibility of setting up a Wildlife Special Interest Group if there is enough interest and Kevin has agreed to help us with all his expertise in doing this. We are also planning another exclusive wildlife workshop for NDPS members led by Kevin in the near future.
A number of members have all commented on his presentation and have asked for another visit from him soon. Once again many thanks Kevin for an excellent night’s entertainment.
Our next Special Presentation of the new season is on Tuesday 8th October when Mark Pain will present a highly illustrated talk on World Class Sports Photography - one not to be missed..!
