The final twenty images in this Year's Open Public Competition are announced...

Here they are - the final 20 images selected by our members' panel to have made the shortlist for this year's NDPS Open Photographic Competition. All of the shortlisted entries get a free ticket (that will be ready for collection at the door) to our David Noton 'Chasing the Light Road Show' on Saturday 14th September at 7pm at UEA, Thomas Paine Lecture Theatre.

East Anglian Federation approved judge Malcolm English ARPS, has the unenviable job of picking out just three winners. Malcolm will also choose the winner of our Junior category.

We anticipate that the judging will be completed later this week and once a few formalities have been completed we shall announce which three images have been selected to be displayed in the exhibition together with the names of the photographers who took them. At this time we shall also announce the name of the winner of the Young Photographer competition whose winning entry will also be displayed in the exhibition.

David Noton will present the winners with their certificates during the interval of his ‘Chasing the Light Road Show’. Tickets can be purchased for this event using the link available in the Programme section of the website.

Norwich & District Photographic Society are very grateful to everyone who entered images - you certainly made our task very difficult! The response from everyone was overwhelming and as every image entered proves there is masses of exceptional photographic talent to be found around Norwich. To those who did not make it through to the final twenty we hope you will try again next year and help us make this competition a firm fixture of our annual calendar.
