Norwich & District Photographic Society are pleased to announce that we shall be hosting our 103rd Annual Exhibition showcasing the images and photography skills of all our members in the beautiful surroundings of Norwich Cathedral.  Begun in 1903 these exhibitions have been an annual event in Norwich for more than 100 years.

Last year in conjunction with the exhibition NDPS held their first annual open competition.  More than two hundred entries were received, and the three winning photographers each had one their outstanding images printed, mounted and displayed as part of the exhibition.  In addition, to three winners of the public competition this year NDPS has offered opportunity for three local ‘young photographers’ to also have one of their images included in the exhibition.

The six winners of this year’s open competition will have their ‘certificate’ awarded to them by the world-renowned landscape and travel photographer David Noton on 8th September when NDPS hosts his inspirational ‘Chasing the Light’ Road Show in Norwich.

 About Norwich & District Photographic Society

Norwich & District Photographic Society is a fun, friendly, learned and lively camera club.  Ideas, images, knowledge, information and tips are freely shared at our meeting meetings to which everyone is welcome – no matter what their level of photographic ability or experience. We are immensely proud of our heritage.  Our roots can be traced back to the birth of photography in the middle of the nineteenth century, the Society is the sixth oldest photographic society/club in the country.

The Society meets every Tuesday evening during the season (from the first week in September until the middle of June the following year) in the Methodist Church Hall on Chapel Field Road, Norwich, NR2 1SD.  Car parking is available adjacent to Bignold School which is next door to the Methodist Hall
