Pictorialist Group Shoot at Cambridge University Botanical Gardens

On Saturday 6th November at 10:10am we will gather at the Garden Cafe in Cambridge University Botanic Gardens. We plan to spend the morning exploring the gardens, hopefully photographing exotic species and the glass houses in unusual ways!

This will be followed by lunch in the Garden Cafe at 1pm. Members can then either continue at the gardens until it shuts at 4pm or return home if they are due for fireworks etc in the evening.

Members will need to buy their own ticket for the gardens as well as bringing £1 for club insurance.

The gardens’ website can be found here where tickets can be booked in advance, although this is no longer a requirement. The cost of entry for one adult is £6.30.

Tickets for entry to the gardens for 6th November are not yet on sale but should be available from 10am on Thursday 28th October.

Don’t forget to check the arrangements before setting out if there has been extreme weather overnight.

The group embraces a wide range of experimental and craft based techniques including paper making, wet photographic processes, infra-red; x-ray; vintage equipment and lenses, alternative lenses, and alternatives to lenses, such as pinholes or even alternatives to conventional cameras!
