Pictorialist Group Shoot - Great Yarmouth in the style of Martin Parr

  • Norwich & District Photographic Society Britannia Pier Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth NR30 2EH United Kingdom (map)

Great Yarmouth in the style of Martin Parr

On Saturday 11th June at 10:00 am we will meet at the entrance to Great Yarmouth’s Britannia Pier.

We plan to shoot in the style of Martin Parr, if you’re not familiar with his work, you can see an example below and visit his website here. If you want to find out more about his techniques, you can also find some advice here.

If you’d like to use a speed light / flashgun and don’t own one, then please get in touch and we’ll bring one along that you can use.

We’ll spend some time exploring the beach front and the old town and then meet back at the pier at 11:30 to share images before heading off again and meeting back at the pier at 1:00.

A walking trail of Great Yarmouth old town is available on the Visit Great Yarmouth website where you can find this pdf of the walking trail.

We’ll then find a spot for a Fish and Chips lunch for those who’d like to stay on.
