ZOOM SPECIAL PRESENTATION

My Vision My Photography is a presentation that covers various aspects of my photography which includes Fine Art minimal long exposures, My Venice Architecture and Cityscapes, Trees with a hug and a section called ‘Anything Goes’ which is varied with several one off images along with some private project work that I don’t share anywhere else.  This talk/presentation starts with a short introduction prior to covering around the subjects previously mentioned.

Explanations of my camera craft and processing are included throughout the presentation as I explain why it’s my vision my photography..!

A little about the photographer in his own words..

Over the years I have photographed numerous subjects, but I have always had a passion for architecture along with my second love Fine Art Minimal Long Exposure.  My photography is now focused around both these subjects although recently I moved to the Yorkshire Dales so a few landscapes may be a possibility.

I have a Bachelor of Arts first class honours degree in photography.  I’ve also competed around the world in international competitions and achieved numerous awards but being invited to join the prestigious London Salon of Photography is one of my highlights during my time in photography.

Away from photography along with , my wife Lorraine we have a passion for travel especially in South East Asia, experiencing all the senses and cultures it has to offer.  Our love of food means we enjoy sampling the local cuisine.  Recently European City breaks to extend my architectural photography portfolio have taken preference but we still find time on these city breaks for good food and wine.

Other pleasures in life are long walks near our home in the stunning Yorkshire Dales where the walk may occasionally take in a local hostelry.

About Special Presentations…

Every month at Norwich and District Photographic Society there is the opportunity to hear inspirational photographic talks by photographers who are recognised to be at the top of their game and renowned specialists in their field of photography. The quality and range of subjects included in these Special Presentations are we believe unequalled both here in Norfolk and much further afield. Further, arguably alone they more than justify the cost of becoming a member of the Society.

The programme for the 2021-2022 Season is well advanced and has been designed to offer a broad range of excellent speakers who will cover, as in past seasons, a far reaching range of photographic genre. Whilst there remains some uncertainty regarding how quickly we shall return to the new normality after covid we will continue to take a flexible approach and only announce the final details about a month before each presentation.

Guest Tickets will not be available for this Special Presentation as NDPS witll be sharing this evening’s talk with Sheffield Photographic Society and other invited guests

ONLINE PRESENTATIONS

During the coronavirus pandemic the Society put together a revised programme of Special Presentations that were presented online.  These online events proved to be very successful, with good attendance and we thank all our speakers and members who have adapted to this medium. Post-covid we envisage that we shall continue to make full use of the available technologies to deliver our Special Presentations. In the past year online presenttions has widened our reach and we have hosted speakers from the furthest points in the UK, throughout Europe and much wider afield from Australia and the United States.

We don’t intend to allow geography to be a reason for not heaing from the very best photographers worldwide in future seasons. Equally, we shall evolve to ensure this is achieved in the most effective way for our members
