Annual Three-way battle with Ipswich and Lowestoft, 22/11/2023

Hosted this time by Lowestoft Photographic Club this annual competition comprises three rounds each consisting of seven images (Monochrome, Colour & Digital). A minimum of 12 photographers represent each club with each photographer restricted to a maximum of 2 images in the entire competition.

Judge - Paul Raddon DPAGB EFIAP/s PSA4*

Having been victorious in the last two competitions we knew that the other two clubs would be tough to beat for a third time, and so it proved with the judge having to differentiate between some great images throughout the three rounds of the competition. In the end it went right down to the wire with Ipswich & District Photographic Society being declared winners with 179.5 points, just one ahead of Norwich with 178.5 and Lowestoft third with 157.5 points.

At the end of Round One the top 10-15 Clubs proceed to Round Two where once more an image from each Club going through is shown until all ten images from each Club have been shown.

Although the rules of the competition allow just five photographers to represent each Club, NDPS has decided to include the work from at least 12 members in all EAF competitions.

Cambridge Inter-Club Digital 2023 - 21/01/2023 at Whittleford

The regional club competitions start each year with the Cambridge Digital Inter-Club Competition and it’s always a good chance to meet up with old friends and photographers from other clubs and see some of the best images from around the region.
Five members from NDPS went along to observe the competition. Two of our 5 images scored 20 and overall, we ended with 94 points, out of 100, putting us in equal 8th place slightly down on last year but still a result we were very happy with. Top club was Photographic Imaging Co-Operative (PICO) with 99, second was Welwyn Garden (98), third North Norfolk Photographic Society (97).
