TAKE THREE is an opportunity for three different members of the Society to give a short 20-25 minute talk about their own photography, an indspirational photographer, or a particaler photographic genre, skill or technique.
This evening’s presentations include a look at the work of A F Scott, the acclaimed Architect from Norwich, the distnctive style of photography from one of our longest serving members and finally a chance to see the work and activities of our own Landscape Group
About Members’ Evenings
At the heart of Norwich & District Photographic Society are the activities that engage the membership and provide opportunities to feed their passion for photography. Whether learning a new technique, taking a photograph for a photographic competition or assignment, attending a photo-shoot and sharing their knowledge with other members, the Society provides a framework for members to be involved in all aspects of photography on a regular basis.
About NDPS
Norwich & District Photographic Society is ambitious, vibrant, and friendly. Our members freely share their ideas, images, knowledge, and experience both at our weekly meetings and during the other activities that comprise our annual programme. No matter what their level of photographic ability or experience everyone is welcome to join us. We have members of all ages who work in all kinds of industries and professions whose photographic skills range from complete beginners who are starting out on their photographic journey through to seasoned experienced photographers . We strive to ensure all members reach their potential in a friendly environment.
Where to find us
NDPS meets throughout the year. Normally, from the start of September and finishing during the following June, we hold indoor meetings every Tuesday evening commencing at 7:30pm. During the summer months we meet informally outdoors for photo-shoots and other events.
The Society’s home is the modern and fully equipped Interactive Studio at the City Academy, 299 Bluebell Road, Norwich, NR4 7LP. City Academy Norwich located near the University of East Anglia is a modern building that benefits from state-of-the-art facilities including excellent wi-fi, sound and image-projection systems. There is also ample free-car parking available on site and in addition can it be easily reached using public transport.
